Downlighting works from above, with fixtures placed high in trees or along eaves and aimed back at the ground. Light filters through branches and lands in soft pools on lawns, paths, and patios, with shadow patterns that shift as the leaves move. It's the most natural-looking effect in landscape lighting, and the hardest one to fake with fixtures at ground level.

We choose mounting points that cover the areas you actually use, shield every fixture from your normal sight lines, and dial in the aim at night when we can see exactly what the light is doing.
